The problem: Live locations are spread across many chats
Teamwire has long enabled users to share their location in real time with colleagues, teams, or emergency services. However, anyone active across several chats at once – for example, during coordinated operations, large-scale events, or within distributed teams – has previously had to switch between individual chats to keep track of everything. This takes time and increases the cognitive load at precisely the moment when focus matters most.
You can find a concise overview of all Teamwire features here.
The solution: the track board
With the Teamwire track board, we’re introducing a new feature that brings together all active live locations from every chat into a single, clear map view. No more switching between conversations. No more manually piecing together locations. Everything at a glance. Instantly and in real time, of course.
The track board can be accessed via a new button at the top of the inbox and opens in a separate window. The window can be moved to a second screen if required – ideal for control rooms, coordination centres, or anyone who needs to keep communicating in the background.

What the track board can do
Centralised monitoring of all live locations
All users who share their live location in one of their chats appear on a shared map. This provides a complete overview of the situation in seconds, without any manual effort.
Customisable view on demand
Not every location is relevant in every situation. With the track board, you can choose exactly which chats to include in the overview. This allows you to stay focused on what matters most right now.
Smarter coordination at the click of a button
The track board is more than just a passive map. You can take action directly from the overview:
- mention users,
- open their profiles,
- check coordinates, or
- jump straight into the relevant chat with a single click.
It couldn’t be quicker.
Who stands to benefit most?
The track board is a real asset wherever several people are on the move at the same time, and real-time coordination is required:
- Public authorities and police: Incident commanders immediately receive a complete overview of all officers currently on duty.
- Emergency services and critical infrastructure: A quick overview of resources and personnel in emergency situations.
- Security services at major events: Coordinating teams across large venues, as was the case at the 2024 European Football Championship.
- Companies with mobile staff: Keep track of field staff, logistics teams, maintenance crews, or mobile care workers efficiently.
Teamwire Track Board: another step towards optimal operational communication
The track board represents a logical next step in the development of Teamwire as a platform for mission-critical and operational communication. It reduces complexity, saves valuable time, and improves the basis for decision-making in dynamic situations – precisely when it matters most.
