Quick and intuitive to understand

Features for every situation, not just for the office
Alerts override silent mode and reach people even at night. Live locations show who is where. Push-to-Talk replaces a phone call when both hands are needed. Broadcast notifies up to 2,500 people at the same time.
Your IT department remains in control
The dashboard allows you to manage users, devices and permissions centrally. You can specify which functions are available, how long data is stored and who is permitted to communicate with whom. A blocked account is immediately blocked – on every device.
Available on every device
iOS, Android, desktop, browser and Apple CarPlay. Can also be used on personal devices without mixing personal and work-related data: all organisational data is stored in its own encrypted container. A telephone number is not required for registration.
Zero Trust
No access is considered trustworthy – not even internal access. Every request is checked, unknown device IDs are rejected, and permissions are restricted to the bare minimum.
Network firewalls
Clearly defined rules specify which IP addresses and ports are permitted to establish a connection. Everything else is blocked before it reaches the application.
Testing at application level
The system monitors not only network traffic, but also which applications are logging in and whether this is plausible. This allows it to flag access attempts that appear technically correct but do not fit the pattern.
Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
An IDS continuously analyses network traffic for signatures of known attacks. Any anomalies are detected and reported before they develop into an incident.
AI-powered pattern recognition
To fend off attacks, an AI system analyses behavioural patterns. Among other things, it recognises DDoS attacks and ransomware activity based on their characteristics.

Systems and components are continuously monitored and updated. Known vulnerabilities are patched promptly, keeping the exposure window as short as possible.

Independent security experts regularly assess the infrastructure and application for potential vulnerabilities. The findings are incorporated directly into further development.

Data centres in Germany have their own security measures in place: physical access control, redundant connections and security at the infrastructure level.
What does secure communication mean?
Secure communication does more than just protect messages from unauthorised access. It also encompasses controlled user and device access, secure data storage, centralised administration, traceability and the availability of the communication channel in critical situations.
Where is our data stored?
Exclusively on servers in Germany – messages, media, user data and metadata. With on-premises hosting, all data is stored in your own data centre. Teamwire does not operate any servers in the USA or other third countries.
Is Teamwire subject to the US CLOUD Act?
No. Teamwire is a German company based in Munich; it operates the platform exclusively in Germany and is subject solely to German and European jurisdiction. No US provider is involved in its operation or data storage.
How is the communication encrypted?
Encrypted during transmission and storage. The connection between the app and the server uses TLS 1.2 with Perfect Forward Secrecy. Messages, files and metadata are encrypted using AES-256 – on the server, where the database key is stored in a separate vault, and also in the encrypted container on the end device. A unique key is generated for each chat.
Will Teamwire still work if our IT system goes down?
Yes. If Teamwire is operated independently of the primary systems in question, the platform can be used as an out-of-band communication channel – for example, if email, collaboration systems or parts of the internal infrastructure are unavailable following a cyber attack. Alerts, broadcasts, push-to-talk and live locations remain available and can play a vital role in emergency situations.
Can Teamwire be integrated into our existing IT system?
Yes. You can synchronise user accounts via LDAP or Active Directory, and integrate MDM, EMM and UEM solutions via AppConfig. An API and various SDKs are available for more advanced integrations.
Can staff use the app on their personal devices?
Yes, and without work and personal data getting mixed up: all organisational data is stored in its own encrypted container. A personal phone number is not required for registration. Conversely, it is also possible to completely prevent the app from being used on unmanaged devices.
