Data storage in Germany
All user data, messages and content are stored exclusively on servers in Germany. This means 100% data sovereignty within the EU and no risk from third-country laws.
German & European data protection law
As a product of a German company, we strictly adhere to German and European data protection laws, including the GDPR.
German jurisdiction
Teamwire is subject exclusively to German and European jurisdiction. Laws from non-EU countries, such as the US Cloud Act or Patriot Act, have no influence on us.
Privacy by design & by default
Our software is designed from the ground up to meet all relevant data protection requirements. In addition, the product is preset to be data protection-friendly by default.
Data minimisation & data avoidance
Teamwire only uses the minimum necessary data and only accesses personal data when absolutely necessary for security or administrative reasons.
Automatic deletion of old data
Data is only stored for as long as it is required for operations and by you as a customer. After this period, it is automatically deleted.

Teamwire enables data protection-compliant order data processing with a corresponding data processing agreement.

Anonymised user data
Teamwire anonymises personal data to a large extent and treats all data as strictly confidential.
No metadata analysis
No analysis of metadata, users or their communications takes place.
No storage of the address book
To protect your contacts, all contact details are anonymised using hash functions (SHA-256) and deleted from our servers immediately after connecting with colleagues. Users' address books are not stored.
One-time encrypted passwords
All IDs, telephone numbers, email addresses and passwords are converted using one-way encryption functions such as SHA-256 and other secure algorithms before being stored.
Simple user settings
Thanks to our easy-to-use app, you don't need to make any complicated settings to protect your privacy. Simply select a chat to communicate in, and the messages will only be sent to the recipients of that chat.

Yes. Teamwire fully complies with all GDPR requirements – technically, organisationally and contractually. All data is stored exclusively in Germany, is subject to European law and is processed in accordance with the principles of privacy by design, privacy by default, data minimisation and purpose limitation. There is no risk of access by the United States or other third countries.

All messages, media, user data and metadata are stored exclusively in German data centres. Teamwire does not use servers in the United States or other third countries – your data does not leave Germany.

No. Teamwire is a German company, operates its platform exclusively within the EU and is subject only to German and European jurisdiction. US laws such as the CLOUD Act or Patriot Act have no influence on Teamwire.

No. Teamwire does not analyse metadata, communication patterns, content or user behaviour. There is no tracking and no algorithms that create communication profiles.

Only as long as they are required for operational purposes or according to customer-specific specifications. As soon as data is no longer needed, it is automatically deleted – including media, messages and system information (depending on the customer’s policy).

Of course. All employees receive regular training in data protection, data security and confidentiality. Access rights are strictly limited and managed in an audit-proof manner.
