Teamwire Successfully Completes Cloud Security Alliance STAR Assessment

Teamwire has completed the Security, Trust & Assurance Registry (STAR) assessment of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) for its enterprise messaging app, in order to show compliance with leading standards and best practices for IT security.

Teamwire, Jan 04 2017

This helps customers to assess the security of our enterprise messaging app and to make the best procurement decisions.

CSA is a member-driven organization, chartered with promoting the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing. CSA’s STAR is the industry’s most powerful program for security assurance in the cloud. STAR encompasses key principles of transparency, rigorous auditing and harmonization of standards. STAR evaluates comprehensive security measures, leading data protection, strong encryption, secure development, protected infrastructure, professional risk management, organizational best practices, and much more.

STAR is a publicly accessible registry that documents the security controls provided by various cloud computing offerings. Thereby it helps enterprise customers and users to assess the security of cloud providers they currently use or are considering to start using. Cloud providers submit a completed “Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire” that then becomes publicly available.

Teamwire has completed the STAR assessment for its secure enterprise messaging app. We have answered over 300 questions on the security controls for our apps, servers, data, storage, network, infrastructure, systems, engineering, personnel and organization. In combination with the security and data protection overview of our enterprise messaging app, the STAR assessment gives a good overview of our security measures and practices.
